More Confessions of a Pregnant Wife...

So, I have decided to just admit...that I am BIG! I get annoyed with every day, every fifth person I see, asking and commenting..."wow...you are REALLY growing"..."do multiples run in your family?"..."at least you don't have to go ALL the way thru the hot summer"
I don't know if this happens to every pregnant women...or just me. Maybe some people forgot what its like to be pregnant...or maybe that just dont realize that a baby...a REAL life size baby fits in there, along with all your organs and such...so of COURSE my belly is going to expand, even at 22 weeks along. I like to tell myself that I'm just growing differently maybe (hence all the annoying comments), and not just fat.
On the exciting end...I can FEEL HIM MOVING NOW!!! I love that feeling, and it makes me smile!

we ALL have to deal with comments like that... by the time i reached 25 weeks, all i heard was "are you SURE it's not twins?" trust me, every pregnant woman hears something. don't take it personally, they're just interested but don't always have much finesse...

You're not alone honey! Welcome to the world of pregnancy. Just be happy you are growing - that reminds you that there is actually a baby inside, getting ready to come out and join you in the world.

How bout a new belly picture to show us how big you really are?!?!!!! Yes, people are just dumb. It's like they don't know what to say (why they feel compelled to even speak, I don't understand) so they say dumb stuff. Whenever I take my daughters (14 mos apart in age) to the store, at least 1-3 people ask me if they're twins. It's extremely annoying. I'm sure you're quite the adorable sight, though!!!

Haha! That little picture is so funny. You are just cute. I love pregnant people! It's so beautiful. I can't wait! Although the comments must get annoying, I guess there's nothing you can do about it! Are you still working at starbucks? How are things going?

First of all, IT'S NOT FAT....I always get big fast, but then slow down a bit. I get the twins comment all the time. People can't believe that I'm not due until September. I think you look adorable.

Just wait until everyone starts rubbing and patting your belly.. you need a sign for that too. I saw a shirt once that said,"unless you helped make me, keep your hands off." lol. Enjoy being pregnant, it's the only time we all have an excuse to eat whatever we want, dress how we feel, and be lazy when we feel like it. Keep up the good work.

I think alot of the way you "show" has to do with height. It sounds like you are fortunate that people know you are pregnant... At 25 weeks, i was just starting to look a little pudgy... people whre looking, but not commenting.. Im sure they where thinking.. "man she is putting on alot of weight fast!" But, nope, I guess my babies just had enough room to stand up in there or sometthing, because I am tall... Who knows :-) Anyways, what you need to remember, is every woman, and every baby is different, so it doesnt even pay to let people compare you, or your baby to ANYONE else. :-) Enough said! Hang in there.. Love ya

Ditto what Sarah said...from her tall sister! My experience was the same as hers...many "helpful" comments like "are you sure your baby's big enough?" But I always say every woman's body makes a baby differently. Now, in my due week, the only comment I've heard is, "You're all baby!" What exactly does that mean anyway???

Oh yeah...people and their comments! Just ignore them...you're absolutely adorable and yes, there is a BABY growing in there and you are NOT fat!! I'm just starting to show with our next one and I kinda do just look like I have a pudgy belly at the moment cuz I'm not as big as I was with Logan at this point...oh well, it will come! So glad you can feel him moving...that is one of the neatest feelings in the world!!:-)

Thanks ladies....so I'm not the only one :)
I finally got the chance to use the line I have been wanting to say....aunt Mary and I went to go see a friend with a beer belly, and when he said "you're almost as big as i am!"...I got to say, "mines full of baby...whats your excuse?" haha.

you know, the belly comments didn't bother me too much in comparison to what some random middle-aged guy told me at texas roadhouse last summer (we were there for ted's birthday)- he said "oh, you're pregnant? that's gonna hurt in a little while". well, DUH! what a dork. now it's just funny, but at the time i wanted to beat him!
