Maybe this isn't so bad...
I'm pretty sure that it was my huge belly that relieved us of our little chat with an officer of the law tonight.
HAHA
P.S. I was not driving...;)

hello & goodbye

Yesterday, baby's due date, had come and gone just like any other day. But not without walking a few miles and quietly assuring baby that it was OK to make an appearance. Sigh...maybe today? tomorrow?
So... for those of you still wondering....we're still just "expecting" parents!

NOW we're ready!

We met Cheryl last night, and believe that she's the icing on our cake! She's super nice, quiet mannered and respectful. I feel a lot more comfortable about the birth now, and we're ready for the baby! :) We're thinking this weekend....? Our favorite midwife is on call. hehe.

I have been in an ironing mood this morning...but have nothing to iron! Might go find some wrinkly t-shirts...

OUR (dis)APPOINTMENT

So at 39.5 weeks today, things are still looking good and healthy. We decided not to check for dilation (its not something they do regularly anyway)...just to eliminate any discouragement or over-excitement. Our baby will come either way...wether it be tomorrow...or next week. (SOOO hoping not the latter...)
Tomorrow we meet with our new doula! :) We had one, but she's just come down with strep throat, so we had to look for another one quick. Cheryl is super nice, and has been a doula for 20 years and was so willing to work with us on such short notice...we're excited to meet her!
Well, hope everyone had a good Monday...coming back from conventions and the weekend!

Apples to Apples

Last night some kids came over and we had a blast playing Apples to Apples for a few hours! It was a really good way to spend an evening, instead of looking at baby clothes with longing. I know that I should have pictues, but Im sorry I don't.
Today is the Grizzlies homecoming...so LOTS of activity in town. Kinda boring for market, until the parade got over. I was feeling a little tired, so I came home to work on other things...but Im sure Logan's got it all under control :) We should get to a game sometime...but I'm not sure how Logan would handle seeing his little baby boy in Griz clothing....?
Hope it's a great weekend for everyone....especially those at Marion convention!

Nothing really to exciting to report. Well there IS...but I'll wait till my sis gets it on her blog FIRST... ;)
Yesterday I was STILL not dilated, but 80% effaced. Our midwife guessed that baby was about 7 1/2 lbs already...so very healthy :)
Logan is in class again tonight. It's kinda a rough class...being taught by the head of the MBA program, so she's really exact and tough. But I'm sure all this homework will pay off someday!

still here at 37 weeks..

Im ready, babyyyy...
whenever you are....!

Labor Day

We first thought about taking our tents to Fairmont Hotsprings campground, but wisely changed our minds since it was supposed to be cold and rainy. Well..try snowy Mr. Weatherman! We rented a little cabin with Rodney & Amanda, and woke up to snow Monday morning! But it was ok since we spent the morning over pancakes & Farm to Market sausages, and then sitting in the springs. Dale & Bonnie and Keith & Cyndee stayed at the resort...where it was also warm and dry. It was nice to just relax with family for the holiday!
