Nephew Update...

At 4 1/2 months, Cole is still a cute little bug! He's laughing, and has discovered the power of his own voice. This picture was taken while he was keeping mom company in the kitchen. Maybe he thought all those veggies she was cooking were pretty silly.

I'll have more pictures next week, after we get to see him for a few days in MN!

MERRY CHISTMAS

We are enjoying a nice few days up in Kalispell, and this morning Logan fixed the snowmobile enough so that we could ride alittle out in the pasture.

All of Mary's grandkids were here this past week, so with all the kids here, they wanted pictures!! A guy that taught me at RMSP this summer has a childrens studio, which he let us borrow. I was really excited, but really nervous, but it was a huge HONOR to be trusted by a professional! So...here are some of them.

WOW! What a challenge! We nearly accomplished Grandma Mary with ALL 8 grandkids! But after all this, I STILL want to be a childrens photographer!

And the first snow

Well....another week or so gone by. We have recovered from the flu :D
Just as we were recovering, that first weekend of the month, Sarah and Stephen flew in from London, and are getting settled in up at Mary's. It's fun to have them around, and a few other babies to play with! Grandma and Grandpa Pheifer were here too! They got to see our house, and just visit quietly. You really miss a good set of Grandparents when they're not so close by!

This week, I had to edit Logan's paper for grad school....an interview with Randy Harris. So...that kept me busy for a day or two....haha ;)

I usually just work Tuesday &Thursday nights at Linens N Things, and it leaves lots of time for me to be a wife...Which I am enjoying very much! We have loads of luandry with just the two of us...I can't imagine what it'll be like when we have our 10 kids! whoah!

We hope that everyone else is doing well...and enjoying the first few snow, and the last of fall!

This morning was our FIRST Saturday morning to sleep in since we've been in our house!! So....until about 9 0'clock, our bed was warm and cozy. Then we fueled up on huckleberry waffles (Logans so sweet), and took off for Mt. Jumbo (right across the road). It was such a beautiful day!!! Unfortunately, I had to take a job at Linens n Things, and they require you to work some weekends. But...we had the most wonderful morning!
Sometimes you just wonder how you ever got so blessed!

Fall Gatherings

Friday night I drove down to Stevensville with caramel apples and a pumpkin pie...for a Potato bake and sing. The kids (& "big" kids) carved pumpkins, not only for fun...but for the sole purpose of making a mess :D Unfortunately, Logan had a group meeting for school, so it just myself.

This afternoon Dorlene & Alice are comming! Then hopefully the weather will be nice enough tomorrow to take their companion pictures!

We Survived

We can really say that our marriage survived..... PIG SORTING! :D Some described the job as a "relationship tester" and so on and so forth...and not only did we get the job DONE....but we had FUN. I apolegize for not having pictures...they sure would have been interesting!

Happy Friday!

Apples & Such..

I DO feel a LITTLE guilty...sleeping in on Saturday mornings, but I have TOTAL faith in Logan, and his selling ability for Farm to Market Pork. So...that leaves me able to sleep in :D When i DID get there...I bought some apples, and am now making an Autumn Caramel Apple Cake (thanks to Alison's blog) for when Rodney and Amanda come for the night. It will be topped with whipped cream, and drizzled with caramel sauce. (Might need to go for a walk afterwards...haha)

Stacey (our renter and friend) brought up some smoked fish. They sure smell good...but I am not to keen on opening the fridge and finding black fish tails and HEADS in my face. I promised I'ld try one though. I babysat her son, Huxley yesterday...and had SO much fun playing the piano!

We are also super excited about this....

Wishing on Stars...

As I layed home in bed sick today, and missing Logan...I thought I'd share a little story...

Last summer, a Friday night, Erin, Logan, and I (just friends) hit DQ, then went down to the walking trail along the Clark Fork. It was getting dark, so hurring back walked Logan on the right side, Erin in the middle, then myself on the left hand side. In the sky, I saw a shooting star, so I couldn't help but say "Make a wish!!" Little did I know, that Logan and my wishes were the same! So lo and behold, on the bridge under Orange Street, we held hands for the first time...just minutes after we made our wishes on that shooting star. Isn't love wonderful?

Beautiful Weekend

What a WONDERFUL fall weekend! This is the most beautiful time of year...and makes your days all the more beautiful!

(Fall tree on Speedway)

Friday night we had dinner with Dad B & Durk at Nine Pipes. During Saturday market, Aunt Mary and I went to the Griz homecoming parade...and GO GRIZ! After a LONG lazy afternoon nap, we finished painting the kitchen....and....TAAA DAAA! This is the 2nd colour we picked out...so hopefully we'll be satisfied with it!!

Today we babysat a friends little 4 monthe old, Preston. Such a bright and happy baby. Im pretty sure we had MUCH more fun then HE did :D
