boys

Our well child check ups were yesterday, and here are their stats:

Coy: 24# 5 oz and 32 in. long

Bentley: 14# 7 oz and 26 in. long. He's in the 75%tile for his length!!

They both got lots of shots, and the whole appt was a disaster, but thankfully Logan wanted to come with to check out our new pediatrician, so he was a lifesaver!

Bentley's been eating every 2 - 3 hours everyday and night for the past month and a half, and it's starting to get a little tiring. So I asked about starting him on cereals, and Dr. didn't reccomend that until he was 6 months. BUT....I might try it in a few weeks anyway, because he's obviously h-u-n-g-r-y....all.the.time.

We leave a week from tomorrow for Wisconsin! Anyone have advice for roadtripping with babies? It would be greatly appreciated! :)

Since it was such a nice day today, we took a walk to the park. We took a lot of pictures of course, but here are just a few of my favorites.

I might add to yesterdays post....
Even though being at home with my kids is perfect for our little family, I am so glad that there are those out there who go to work everyday!! This world needs those wonderful mommies to be nurses, bankers,...and lots more! Thank you mommies for all you do, wherever you do it!! :)

I got out the Baby Einstein jumper for Bentley today! Suddenly, Coy had an intereset in it too, and got a little mad when he found out that it was for his brother, and not for him. Totally got over it though... :)

It's hard to believe that Bentley is 4 months already!! His 4 month, and Coy's 18 month well-checks are on Monday, and I'm anxious so see how they've both grown!

Everyday, and especially today, I feel so thankful that I can be a stay at home mother and wife to two precious babies, and one wonderful husband. A girl from my high school said on Facebook today, that she hated the role of being a stay at home mom and did nothing but complain about being a slave to her husband and child. I felt really mad after I read that, then felt so sad for her...that the path she had chosen to take (both kids by accident though), she ended up hating so much. This makes me feel too, that I take for granted what I have sometimes, and now I want to love more, care more, be more patient, and willing to do what it takes to be a great mom and wife.
Also heard that a little boy, at 4 years old died today from heart complications. Once again, I feel soo thankful that my babies, and my family, are as healthy as can be. I cannot imagine the grief and pain for his family, but I pray that they will be strengthened.
I see now, that I have everything that I could ever need [minus a few more kids maybe...;)] and have NO reason to complain, even on the days when I am pretty positive I am going to go crazy.
Speaking of crazy....
Coy is hitting daddy on the head, saying "uh-oh!"
Not sure if that should be "ok" in our house or not. Sure is funny though! Hehe!
Must mean its bedtime :)

Seriously MIA..

Not have we only been MIA in blog-land, we have been MIA in real-life-land too. We got sick last weekend and it's just been a week full of coughing, fevers, diharrea and lots and lots of boogers. But, despite feeling rotten, the boys have helped me keep my spirts up (me being sick too) by their cute smile and cuddles. Today was the first day in about a week that I've been out of the house. Bentley & I met Sarah at the mall and then we went to Starbucks to sit and sip. :)

We gave Coy another haircut...haircut #3! I like his hair long, but he gets really bad bed head and it overlaps his ears. He looks so biiiiig! Like he should be talking in sentences or something! I reassured myself, however, that it WILL grow back.

Bentley will not take a bottle anymore. It's really OK, but was hoping that on our roadtrip to WI I could just pump and serve, rather then having to stop every few hours to nurse. Which brings me to say now.....two weeks from today we will hopefully be very near mom and dads house!

Papa Coy

Papa Coy here, multitasking like mama!
His baby is a lot more relaxed then the one that I carry.

Gosh, I wish I had abs like B!

I tell you, these boys are the sweetest. My other boy is missing from the picture, he's sweet too! Bentley was actually sitting there first, then Coy joined him eager to sit by and hug his little bro.
I have to brag...we have the sweetest, smartest toddler. We've been asking him to pick up his toys lately, and he does it, really well. After picking the toys up, we asked him to pick up the pan in the living room (he plays with my pans all the time, cooking crayons or whatever he feels like) not expecting him to actually do it. But, he trotted over to the pan, picked it up, trotted back to the kitchen, opened up the cupbord door and put it in. He shut the door then turned to face us like "Anything else I can put away?". It was soo cute, and he listenes to well. Like Logan says, how many 17 month olds listen that good to their parents? :)

heres a little giggle from bentley to give you a little smile on your monday!

since i posted a vid of coy, how fair would it be to not do one of bentley? :)
oh- the boots: coy has outgrown all his sunday shoes and boots, so we went to cenex to get some more. well...coy's got fat little feet and it's hard to find any that fit good. so, after searching and trying some on for a bit, we found some....but they lit up! (at first i was way more excited about them then he was...till now) i figured we could just put tape over it for meeting...haha. anyway...hes having a ball with them. hes got it down pat that you need to give them a good smack to lite them up.
might i add though, theyve scared the heck outta me while driving at night...thinking there's a cop chasing me down...but no cop in the rear view mirror. oh yeah, thats just coy, driving ma crazy :)

These Boots Were Made for Flashin

This'll make all them little cowboys out there jealous :-)
