County Fair

The greatest song to ever live in my iTunes library, is Chris Ledoux, Take Me To The County Fair. Unfortunately, we didn't get to it as much this year as we usually get to. Tuesday was free admission, so Sierra and I went for a bit. The rides werent open yet, but there was still lots going on, and lots to see.

Seriously? Speedo for a sheep? GOOD GREIF!
Coy liked the sheep, and llamas...maybe until a LOUD and super-close-to-the-ear bleeting sheep scared the little bejeebies outta Coy!

The BEST part of the fair are the rodeos, Friday and Saturday night. We had plans to go Friday night, but with a cancellation from our rodeo partners, and cold, rainy weather, we decided to skip it. :( I really missed not going...but we did something much better......

We went on a very romantic DATE! I dropped off Coy at Gramma Marys, where he played with Ella, Tessa and Jaci, and Logan and I went to a fantastic place we've never been before! It's a place downtown called The Red Bird. We used a gift certificate from Mom and Dad B from Logans graduation, and was SOOOO amazing! It was dark, candle-lit, we had a private located booth, and the food was beyond describable, really. Their creations were so unique and delicious, and it was all local food, including Farm to Market Pork. We had a sausage starter, and then I had lamb, and Logan had bison. Mmmmmm. After a two hour relaxing dinner, we went back up to Mary's to pick up our little trooper and play a game of Thump with Ade and Anna.

Now, Im wasting time posting, when i should be finishing up my last-minute packing. When Logan gets home from market here, we're heading up to kalispell, because tomorrow morning, Coy and I catch the train to Wisconsin!! We'll be gone until the 29th, and missing daddy so much! But Logan is flying in to Appleton next Friday night, going to be there for Cole's 2nd birthday party, then flying home Sunday evening. It will be fun to see him for a bit, and make the 2 weeks not so long, seeing him in the middle. :)

So, Wisconsin readers....we just might see you!

A day in our life..

What do we do all day at home? Well, we are rarely bored, that's for sure! We usualy clean something, or do some laundry. Coy of course is TONS of help. He (which I hear is pretty typical...) grabs things ONE at a time, throws them over his shoulder and reaches for another piece, never looking back. :) SO much help...with excersizes maybe...get my squats in!

And...since little Beethoven is tall enough to reach the keys now, we have lots of music time. We seriously need lessons though...
Time to call *Mrs. Bock?
*Mrs. Bock was our piano teacher from like 1st grade till high school. We hated going to lessons, but it fun teasing her, I think that's why we went. Other then the fact that we were "forced to go"....such torture!

Nah, I think we'll wait a few years.

Of course, we're always safe too. We got Coy "big boy" carseat! :( He still fits his infant one, and can't face forward yet, but we'll be needing the little one soon, so we're getting used to this new one. And now I know why people get MINI VANS! Facing backwards, this BARELY fits in the truck! But....not ready for that yet...I'm only (almost) 22!

Then, since we love daddy sooo much, we watch for him to come home!
We forgot to mention naps, tantrums, mess, dirty diapers etc...but that's ok! :)

the one not met and womens strength

had a 25 week appt with jeanne today. im measuring 28 weeks, but i measured ahead with coy too, so im not surprised. had glucose testing too, so had to drink that aweful orange gunk...blech. i've been having braxton hicks contractions, something i haven't experienced before. weird! this baby is super active...usualy about the time im ready to settle into bed for a good nights sleep. just preparing me i guess..... :)

and in preparing for birth again, im re-reading from my good friend ina may gaskin. yes, men are strong, drive fast, sometimes smarter than we are...but seriously... can they give BIRTH? womens bodies are amazing! the energy, strength and mind/body connection it takes is incredible and so special. we are not just stay at home moms, secretaries or what not, we have been created to carry and deliver another human being, in the most sacred way...which to me, makes me feel so proud that I am a women and a mother! kudos to us, ladies!!

Coy and Company

I Like You
By: Matcuhitto
Although I saw you
The day before yesterday,
And yesterday and today,
This much is true-
I want to see you tomorrow, too!

Jaci, Tessa, and Coy swingin!

Anna, Ella, Tessa and Jaci stopped by to see Coy for a bit...and Coy sure loves hanging out with his cousins, even though they're all girls :)

We also have good buddies named Cody and Shelby! They are older and teach him things..wether he's ready to learn them or not..haha.

But...best of all of his buddies is DADDY!

I've had this really weird sensation lately...of a little warm, wet TONGUE on my leg. I don't know where he (Coy we're talkin about here, not Logan) gets the urge to LICK my LEG, but it's kinda icky feeling. Maybe I should start wearing old lady smelling lotion. Or like Lindsay suggested...stop shaving?

Happy 10 months old to our sweet little Coy, who amazes and surprises us everyday with love, smartness and sweetness.
